16. Cherries
Cherries are another fruit jampacked with minerals, vitamins, nutrients, and fiber. Aside from being great sources of vitamin C, they also have potassium, manganese, and calcium as well. Despite being small in size, they are still loaded with anti-inflammatory compounds and antioxidants that fight against oxidative stress. This phenomena is linked to chronic sickness and disease, which tend to cause undue stress to the kidneys, making their job much harder. Cherries also contain polyphenols, which are nutritious compounds that help with digestive enhancement, cardiovascular health protection, and the betterment of cognitive function.
