12. Spinach and Other Greens
We don’t have to keep telling you why you should eat your greens, your parents have probably been bugging you since you were a kid. But that’s because vegetables like spinach and other dark leafy greens work to draw water into the system so they can flush everything out afterwards. Aside from their fiber content, most of these veggies contain rich amounts of magnesium, which work to help the colon contract and get any stubborn stool out. They also add bulk to poop when needed, helping relieve the bowels and keep constipation at bay.
