20. Probiotics
Probiotics are known as good bacteria that are good for the health of your heart and digestive system. These are sometimes used as an alternative treatment for ear infections, particularly in infants and children. Both oral probiotics and nasal sprays are considered safe. There are no known side effects of these.
While certain strains of probiotics occur naturally in the body, they can also be consumed through supplements or fermented food, such as yogurt, buttermilk, pickles, miso, kimchi, and sauerkraut. Though not all cheeses contain probiotics, those with live cultures have them. Examples of these are cheddar, mozzarella, gouda, and cottage cheese. Regular intake of these can help prevent ear infections.
