18. Blow Drying
Also known as swimmer’s ear, otitis externa is an outer ear infection caused by water that remains in the ear leading to bacterial growth. Despite its name, you could get swimmer’s ear even on land, such as after a shower, or when exposed to rain or humid air. To prevent water getting lodged in your ear, you could use a blow dryer to dry your ear after a swim or a shower. Put your blow dryer on its lowest setting, and hold it six to twelve inches away from your ear. Blow dry for around three to five minutes.
