1. Warm Compress
One of the easiest and safest ways to ease an earache is by using a warm compress. This can help loosen a congestion that may be causing your pain. The simplest way to prepare a warm compress is to soak a washcloth in warm water, then wring it out. Make sure it isn’t so hot that it would cause a burn. Apply it on your affected ear, then leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. You may also use a heating pad, warmed gel pack, or warm water bottle. Wrap any of these with a towel before putting it on top of your ear. Always check the temperature of your warm compress before using it, in order to avoid burns.
