Methods To Relieve Sciatica

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is considered in Western Culture as an alternative medicine method. In reality, it has been a normal practice of medicine in several ancient Asian cultures like those in China, Japan, and Korea. In acupuncture, hair-thin needles are stuck into the skin at very specific points on the body. These needles either stimulate or desensitize certain nerves in the body, depending on which points they are applied. Acupuncture is already widely used across western cultures, although there are still some inconsistencies in their effectiveness. Some patients testify that it worked wonders for them, while others insist it did not work for them at all. For sciatica, some doctors do recommend acupuncture for pain relief. Note that acupuncture must be done by a trained and licensed practitioner.
