Could It Be Pneumonia? A Dozen Warning Signs!

Should You Get Checked By A Doctor?

The signs and symptoms listed in this article are indicators of the possibility of pneumonia, but are not exclusively for pneumonia.  Occurring on their own or in combination, they could be pneumonia or other lung problems, even those not caused by infections.   However, since many of these signs and symptoms are in themselves quite dangerous, checking with a doctor would be recommended when these happen.  If you have a persistent fever (especially those 39∞C and higher), difficulty in breathing, pain in the chest or upper back, persistent cough (especially if you cough up pus or blood), you have to get checked by a doctor.  The urgency increases if you are a person who is in the “at risk” category.
