It is probably one of the most misunderstood of illnesses. Many old non-medical people have been taught, quite incorrectly, many myths as to what causes it. Some say playing in the rain causes it. Some say a damp shirt drying on you will cause you to catch it. And some even sing about it being caught from kissing a girl… which makes you wonder why not all teenage boys have caught it coming home from the highschool dance. The illness we are referring to is, of course, Pneumonia.
