6. Incubation Period of Food Poisoning
Food poisoning can develop faster than stomach flu. A person who gets infected by the bacteria can start showing signs and symptoms even within an hour after getting infected. There are cases, however, when it takes almost 24 hours before signs and symptoms start to show. Different bacteria have different incubation periods, but most are faster than viruses. An infected person’s immune system can also delay the onset of food poisoning signs and symptoms.
