Are Stomach Flu And Food Poisoning The Same?

5. Incubation Period of Stomach Flu

Men’s Health

Stomach flu infections usually take longer to show signs and symptoms compared to food poisoning.  Once one of the viruses infects a person, signs and symptoms will usually take 24 to 48 hours to exhibit themselves.  The amount it takes to incubate varies from virus to virus.  The infected person’s immune system may also delay the incubation of any of the viruses.  There is no uniform incubation period before signs and symptoms occur, but rather a range of time.
