17. Abdominal Pain
One other symptom for the flu that is normally more common in children is abdominal pain. Aside from kids also getting fevers, body pains, headaches, sore throats and runny noses, they also end up feeling stomach pains because of the effect that the virus is having on their tiny bodies. Sometimes, it’s due to diarrhea and the need to vomit, but at times it is one way for kids to explain that they’re not feeling well overall. Many times, children cannot explain the kind of pain they are experiencing, or where it hurts exactly, so they tend to say that their tummies hurt. No matter how many symptoms they present with, whether it’s just one, a few, or many, be sure to bring them to the doctor immediately to make sure that they receive the proper treatment as soon as possible.
