Bladder Infection: Symptoms, Remedies, and Prevention

5. Cloudy Urine

Healthspectra

Healthy urine is sterile and contains no living organisms. It is normally clear and the yellowish color of straw. Cloudy or milky-looking urine is usually a sign that something is wrong. The cause may be easily treated, such as mild dehydration, or it may be more serious, such as a urinary tract infection, or an infection in the bladder in particular.

When you have a bladder infection, the white blood cells in your body try to fight the bacteria causing the infection. When your body excretes these white blood cells when you urinate, it makes your urine appear cloudy or milky.
