9. Fever

One way your body tries to fight off an infection or illness is a fever. A mild fever or malaise (a general feeling of physical discomfort or unease) may be brought about by a bladder infection. But it may be another sign that the infection has spread to your kidneys if your fever is fairly high. It may also be accompanied by chills.

Should you experience a high-grade fever and suspect that your kidney has been infected, watch out for other symptoms such as pain in the back or side.
