15 Things Your Eyes Are Trying To Tell You About Your Overall Health

4. White Ring Around Iris

Medical News Today

Arcus senilis is a condition when a white, gray or blue ring forms around the iris, or the colored portion of the eye. This is usually a sign of aging often due to cholesterol and not always considered a serious condition. But there are times when it could also be an indication of high triglycerides and cholesterol, especially when it appears in your younger years, around 45 years or so. Although the condition itself doesn’t necessarily need treatment, because it is an indication of high cholesterol, it’s also linked to an increased risk of heart disease, heart attacks and stroke, which is why it shouldn’t be ignored.
