These Symptoms Indicate That You May Have A Gallbladder Infection

11. Pain Under Your Ribs

Your.MD

Pain strikes from under the ribs when you have a gallbladder attack, simply because that is where your gallbladder is located. Pain from under the ribs though does not automatically mean you have a gallbladder infection. It can mean a lot of things too. The only time you could link it to a gallbladder attack is when you feel an “inflamed” feeling that puts pressure on the areas around it. The pain’s intensity can vary from mild discomfort to completely severe pain. The pain may only be felt under your ribs or it may also be felt throughout the abdomen and the back of it. Painkiller medicines may seem really practical to take with pain like this showing up, but as much as possible, it is not encouraged to take it as it may make the gallbladder inflammation worse. You will have to go to a doctor right away for it.
