8. Localized Symptoms
Symptoms that only affect the colon and rectum oftentimes signify early stages of the disease as these indicate that the cancer has less likely spread to distant organs. Some examples of localized symptoms include diarrhea, constipation, bowel habit changes, rectal bleeding, tenesmus, low-caliber stools and bloating, which are mainly due to obstruction from a growing tumor. Experiencing several, if not all, of these possible signs at the same time for a prolonged period should nudge you to make an appointment with your doctor immediately.
