Colon Cancer Fact No. 2: Colorectal Cancers have the Second Highest Death Toll in the US
Colon cancer ranks as the third most common cancer in the United States; and the second deadliest among cancers that affect both men and women in the country. In 2019, over 140,000 new cases of colon cancer were reported, 51,000 of which or roughly over 30% dying from the disease. Colon cancer only comes second as the deadliest form of cancer compared to Lung carcinoma, which was estimated to have killed over 140,000 Americans in 2019 alone.
