1. Urinary Urgency
One of the strongest indicators of a urinary tract infection is urinary urgency, or the sudden urge to pee. This is caused by involuntary contractions of the muscle in your bladder. Urinary urgency may be attributed to other conditions, such as an overactive bladder. Some medications, such as diuretics, may also be a trigger. With UTI, it is usually accompanied by urinary frequency.
