7 Signs You May Have Urinary Tract Infection

3. Painful Urination

medicalnewstoday

Also known as dysuria, painful urination is a common symptom of a urinary tract infection. This occurs more commonly in women than in men. The pain you feel may be coming from the bladder, urethra, or perineum. It may be felt as discomfort during urination, or come as a burning or stinging sensation. Painful urination may also have other causes, such as sexually transmitted infections, stones in the urinary tract, vaginal infection, or a side effect of medication. But if you notice other UTI symptoms, you should consult your doctor to get a proper diagnosis.
