5. Nausea and Vomiting

A tumor in your brain can cause a hormone imbalance. This can result in nausea and vomiting. These symptoms may also be caused by increased pressure in your skull, wherein the tumor presses on your brain tissue or blocks the flow of fluid in your brain.

Nausea may also be due to the tumor’s location in your brain. If it is located in the area of your brain that controls balance, you may find yourself feeling dizzy and nauseous. If it is in an area involving vision and movement, you may feel imbalanced, which can also lead to nausea.

Nausea and vomiting may also occur as a side effect of chemotherapy and other cancer treatments. Although nausea is a common sign of a brain tumor, it is rarely the only symptom to manifest.
