12 Signs That You May Be Suffering From A Brain Tumor

3. Changing Headache Patterns

Harvardhealth

Almost everyone gets headaches every now and then. But with a brain tumor, it goes beyond the common headache. About 50 percent of people with brain tumors experience worsening headaches. This is caused by the pressure the tumor places on sensitive nerves and blood vessels. This may trigger a change in the way you experience headaches or in the pattern of your previous headaches.

Some signs that your headache might be the result of a brain tumor include a persistent pain that is not like a migraine, a pain that is worse upon getting up in the morning, headaches that come together with vomiting or other neurological symptoms, worse headaches when exercising, coughing or changing your position, or when over the counter pain relievers do not help at all.

However, headaches and changes in how you get them are not a definitive symptom of a brain tumor. Watch out for other symptoms or see your doctor if you are finding your headaches worrisome.
