Agitation

In LBD, agitation can be referring to physical or emotional restlessness. Someone with LBD may be exhibiting agitation if they are unable to sit still, or if they have an inexplicable emotional response to something like tearfulness, irritability, or anxiety. Agitation in those with LBD may be the result of hallucinations, psychosis, depression, anxiety, fatigue, lack of sleep, or confusion. If agitation appears quite suddenly and the person with LBD is having difficulty expressing themselves, it may have a medical cause such as infection, pain, or medication side effects. Changes in the environment or to the routine, fear, or misunderstanding can also contribute to agitation.
