Excessive Daytime Sleepiness

Do You

Excessive Daytime Sleepiness (EDS) is a pretty self-explanatory condition, which manifests as sleeping for excessive periods of time during the day, and a general lack of energy even after what can be considered a good night’s sleep. EDS is a broad condition that encompasses several sleep disorders where sleeping more than is needed is a symptom. It is also a symptom of an underlying condition like LBD, narcolepsy, circadian rhythm sleep disorder, sleep apnea, or idiopathic hypersomnia. Those with EDS are compelled to nap repeatedly during the day, with those urges coming on especially strong at inappropriate times like when driving, while at work, during a meal, or in conversation with someone else.
