Sleep disorders are common in those with LBD, but very often go undiagnosed. A sleep specialist can help diagnose and treat sleep disorders, like REM Sleep Behavior Disorder or RBD. RBD is a condition in which a person seems to act out dreams while asleep. It manifests as vivid dreaming, talking in your sleep, violent movements, or falling out of bed. RBD may even be one of the earliest symptoms of LBD in some people, appearing many years before the other symptoms.
