Symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia

Apathy

Gumlet

While we all feel our moods change from time to time, those with dementia can experience an absence of interest in or concern for emotional, social, spiritual, philosophical, or physical life. This may mean they will become depressed or withdrawn and may lose interest in activities they used to enjoy. Apathy describes loss of interest, motivation, and persistence; not caring and not being social with others. It can be a symptom of depression but can also occur on its own for those with dementia.
