15 Signs That You May Have Diabetes

9. Fatigue

Success Magazine

Diabetes-related fatigue is a common symptom, and can be brought about by a number of reasons. It can be caused by high blood sugar levels, or by other symptoms or complications of diabetes. When you have high blood sugar and not enough insulin to bring the glucose into your cells, they are unable to produce enough energy, and can result in fatigue or a feeling of weakness. On the other hand, low blood sugar, or hypoglycemia, can also cause fatigue. Other symptoms of diabetes such as frequent urination, excessive thirst, increased appetite, or unexplained weight loss may also be causes, as well as diabetes complications such as frequent infections, nerve damage, kidney problems, or heart disease. While fatigue may be caused by a number of other things not related to diabetes, it is important to be watchful, especially if you notice other symptoms.
