10. Itching or a Rash Around the Vulva or Rectum
Itching or rashes around the vulva or rectum area can be caused by a variety of health conditions, but it is actually one symptom that is quite common when it comes to a parasite infection. There is even one specific parasitic infection called Trichomonas vaginalis, which is a very commonly known sexually transmitted disease (STD). Not only does it cause intense itching, it can also be accompanied by a thin or thick discharge that’s either white, yellowish or greenish in color. It also tends to have a very foul smell with pain, redness, and swelling in the affected areas as well. Be sure to speak to a doctor immediately if you notice any of these symptoms before they get worse.
