If you can feel a pain in or around one or more of your teeth, you are suffering from a toothache. Toothaches may be caused by a number of things such as tooth decay, tooth fracture, an abscessed tooth, or infected gums. The pain may be sharp and constant, or may be felt only when pressure is placed on the tooth. There may be swelling around the tooth, and in some cases, you may experience a headache or fever. A foul-tasting drainage may even come out of an infected tooth.
