You Have To Try These Food And Drinks in Mexico

Arroz Con Leche

Caroline’s Cooking

Few people picture eating rice with milk.  In Mexico, that is not considered strange at all.  One of the local comfort foods is even named Arroz Con Leche, which translates to exactly that, “Rice with Milk”.

The dish is made with rice cooked to a wet consistency, much like what Italians do to their risotto.  Once cooked, the rice is drizzled with milk, and sugar is added to create a sweet, creamy snack.  Some Mexicans give this rice snack, or dessert, an extra tweak:  cinnamon.  Go ahead, give it a try.
