Avoid Close Contact
Even though not all viruses can make you sick, all viral infections are contagious, including those of stomach flu. Noroviruses are notorious for being infectious and is the leading cause of viral gastroenteritis (stomach flu) around the globe, sometimes affecting entire families or communities (i.e. workplace, school, villages). Close proximity between persons make it easier for the virus to be passed around. For this reason, the norovirus is known to spread easily amongst people living in the same confined space. Physical distancing, or avoiding close contact with other people, is one of the most basic ways to prevent the spreading of the virus.
