Cheese is another derivative of milk which is rich in protein. There are so many varieties of cheese to choose from, each with differing amounts of protein concentration. In general, cheeses contain all 9 essential amino acids.

The average American cheese contains 18g of protein per 100g of cheese, but that is not the richest in protein content. Blue cheese contains 21g protein per 100g cheese, and Colby cheese contains 24g protein per 100g cheese. Other cheeses, like Cheddar (25g), Gruyere (30g), and Mozzarella (28g) contain more protein than others, but Parmesan cheese tops them all at 38g protein per 100g cheese.

Cheese is so much a staple in most cultures around the globe, most of you readers have already had more varieties of it that you are aware of, and you already know that it can be consumed in so many forms. As a drink, as a bread spread, as a salad ingredient, on its own, as a topping for other dishes, in a soup, the options for cheese consumption are so varied!
