Except for meat, most of the foods in this article are best consumed in their natural state: raw and unprocessed. However, there are admittedly some food items that not only taste terrible when raw, some of them are harder than your teeth unless you cook them.

Remember that the cooking process can nullify some of the compounds found in natural food. For this reason, try to eat the food as close to their natural state as possible. The fresher they are, the better they are. With some exceptions, of course.
