Some foods produce more gas in the gut than others.  Usually, food with rich amounts of carbohydrates, or have lactose, fructose, or other complex sugars, or insoluble fiber, or starch, or any combination of those can be hard on the digestive system.  These foods are not bad per se, they’re just harder for the digestive system to process.  They take longer to digest and end up fermenting in the gut, thereby producing gas.

The foods that commonly produce more gas in the gut than others would be cabbage, broccoli, artichokes, potatoes, sweet potatoes, beans, pasta, wheat, and corn.  If you want to lessen your flatulence, lessen your intake of these foods, it might help.
