2. Canalith Repositioning Maneuvers

If your vertigo is caused by BPPV, canalith repositioning maneuvers can help relieve your dizziness. With BPPV, tiny canalith particles break loose and float in the canals of your inner ear. The procedure involves a series of simple head and body maneuvers which can move the particles out of the ear canal and into a chamber in the inner ear where they can be absorbed by the body.
Canalith repositioning movements can be done right in your doctor’s office. The maneuvers are safe and often effective, relieving vertigo in around 80 percent of patients after just one or two treatments.
