20 Home Remedies To Help Relieve Pink Eye

3. Black Tea Bag

Black tea has many health benefits, including being rich in antioxidants, helping reduce blood pressure and lower bad cholesterol, while also helping improve gut health. But when it comes to pink eye, the actual steeped tea bag can help combat either viral and bacterial infections, both of which are common culprits when it comes to conjunctivitis. Take your favored black tea, steep one bag in a cup of boiling water, and once done, remove the bag and allow it cool. Once it’s no longer steaming hot, place the tea bag directly on the infected eye for anywhere between 10 to 15 minutes around 3 to 4 times a day, always using a new tea bag, to help alleviate the symptoms that normally accompany pink eye. If you don’t have black tea, you can also use chamomile or green tea bags too.
