7. Muscle Aches and Weakness

Hypothyroidism can exacerbate joint and muscular issues in certain persons. Muscle pains, tightness, and stiffness, particularly in the shoulders and hips; joint pain and stiffness; swelling of the tiny joints in the hands and feet; and carpal tunnel syndrome are all symptoms of hypothyroidism. Remember that persons with the most prevalent form of hypothyroidism are more likely to acquire autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis. Consult your doctor if your discomfort, stiffness, or edema do not improve after receiving proper thyroid therapy.
