2. Place A Warm Compress On the Affected Area

A warm compress on the affected eye is considered one of the most effective ways to treat a stye. Placing it on the surface of the stye helps to soften the pus and oil so that it can drain by itself. Just heat up water, soak a clean cloth in it, squeeze out the excess water and when it’s not too hot, place it over the area for at least 5 to 10 minutes with the affected eye closed. For best results, do this at least three to four times a day, but make sure to use a clean wash cloth every time as to not transfer any bacteria from the used cloth to any other area on the face and accidentally spread the infection further.
